On 11 June 2026, TECHNOVATION by PMI: “Science & Innovation for Sustainable Economic Transformation” was held in Baku and jointly organized by AmCham Azerbaijan and the Representative Office of Philip Morris International (PMI) in Azerbaijan. The event brought together more than 180 participants, including senior representatives of public and private sector, as well as international and local media representatives. It was marked by speeches delivered by government and private sector leaders, as well as PMI representatives, focusing on the diversification of the national economy through the development of the non-oil and gas sector, as well as corporate transformations towards harm reduction and sustainable growth.
Within the framework of the event, PMI representatives highlighted the scientific and technological advancements achieved in recent years in the field of tobacco harm reduction. They also presented the company’s achievements in improving smoke-free alternatives to conventional cigarette smoking and shared the progress made in this area with the audience.
Representatives of Prime Light, the exclusive distributor of PMI’s smoke-free products in Azerbaijan participated in the event.
